We did it! 1000 schools are now accredited Gold

We are proud to announce that more than 1,000 London schools have now achieved Gold accreditation through TfL Travel for Life. 

This is a major milestone in helping children travel more actively, safely and sustainably. Watch this video from Will Norman, London’s Walking and Cycling Commissioner, explaining why this is so important.

Will says “The difference that this programme makes in London is huge. It improves air quality, makes our roads safer, keeps kids happy and healthier. I want to say again, a massive thank you to everyone involved in delivering this really successful target.”

Schools like St Helen’s College in Uxbridge and Gifford Primary in Ealing have shown what’s possible - from funding scooter parking and road safety projects to empowering pupils to take pride in walking and cycling initiatives. Impressive work!
