Best newcomer
This category is open to schools that are newly accredited. Getting started can be hard, but these schools have faced the challenge head-on, making big changes to the way they travel, and creating a lasting impact on their local area and community,

Long term excellence
These schools have held a Gold accreditation since at least September 2017. They have worked consistently to keep students, teachers and parents enthused about boosting active, sustainable travel and have taken part in a variety of positive, inspirational activities.

Modeshift Impact
Reducing car use for the school run can have a huge environmental impact. This award recognises schools that have made great strides to move away from car use or increase active travel. This may be through things like Park and Stride, Car Share or a strong increase in walking or cycling.

Best campaign
A great way to engage pupils, parents and the local community in your active travel goals is by creating an exciting, impactful campaign. These schools have gone above and beyond to create meaningful ways to boost active, sustainable travel.

Creativity & Innovation
This award recognises schools who have created a stand-out new activity or campaign, or reimagined an existing one. We love to see schools finding innovative and creative new ways to overcome barriers to active travel, and enthusing their community in the process.

Student Achievement
Taking part in TfL Travel for Life projects is a great way to help students develop their skills, and think about future careers. We want to celebrate students who have developed their confidence, leadership, and creativity.

School Champion
Whether it's an exceptional member of staff or a superstar volunteer, this award is for those who have gone above and beyond in their role as School Champion. We want to celebrate their creativity, dedication and determination to embed TfL Travel for Life in their school.
