Step 2: Identifying your travel issues

Once you're registered, the next step is to identify your school's travel issues. You don't need any specialist knowledge at all to do this and there is plenty of support to help you. Have a look at the situation. Is there congestion or road safety issues?

This is a great time to tick off some of your consultation activities like surveys and traffic counts.

Look at you school's previous Hands Up Surveys if they have any or set up a new one. It's easy to do!

A hands-up survey will help you identify how your pupils get to school now and how they would prefer to travel. You can also survey parents to understand any barriers to active travel.
