Consultation

How it helps

  • Encourages involvement from parents/carers, community, local authority and the TfL Travel for Life engagement team
  • Raises awareness of travel issues
  • Opportunity for Explorers or Pioneers Ambassadors to lead the activity

About the activity

We know that your schools and nurseries are creative places, and your pupils and staff are bursting with ideas of how to get young London moving!

This activity is to help raise awareness of your TfL Travel for Life activities and the work you are doing to promote safe and active travel and ask others to get involved. This may include parents and carers, community groups, your local authority or the TfL Travel for Life Engagement Team.

This is your chance to share your school’s own original consultation activities, which can be different to anything else already listed on the TfL Travel for Life website.

Activity steps

Step 1

Identity the problem. Which travel issue or behaviour are you trying to resolve or change?

Step 2

Who can help? Identify which person or group you need to engage with in order to achieve your goal

Step 3

Plan your consultation. This may include conducting a survey, arranging a meeting or attending an event.

Step 4

Measure success. Did the consultation help you achieve your aims?

Step 5

Tell your story. Upload evidence in ‘My activities’.
